Angels and Demons
By Kristen Mallahan

"Angela!" Danielle said as she walked into the waiting room. Angela glanced at
her then at her watch, wondering if her wait would be short enough to justify
waiting in the hall. It wasn't, so she sat in a rocker by a large bay window.

"Hello," she said stiffly and rocked for a minute before turning to the woman in
red.

"Who are you here for?" she asked. Danielle looked up from a magazine.

"A drunk driver, very young, ran over a little kid on his way to another bar." She
laughed. "Would have made it too if he hadn't crashed into a tree fourteen
seconds later." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a pack of
cigarettes. Angela wrinkled her nose in disgust as Danielle breathed out a
cloud of smoke.

"You are in a hospital," she said disapprovingly. Danielle laughed again.

"That's right. This is the best place to smoke. People are already sick and if
they get any sicker their already here." She giggled and continued to smoke.
Angela looked out the window and stared at the Helli-pad. A helicopter was
landing and two paramedics were loading a patient onto it. She shook her head.

"He'll never make it. Only 25 and his life is already over," she mumbled.

 "Huh?"

"Nothing," she said and rocked quietly for a while.

"Who are you here for?" asked Danielle.

"A little girl, nine years old, going to the park, got hit by a stray bullet. She's a
sweet little thing, too." She shook her head. "Do you remember when people
lived to be so old we thought our jobs were in danger?" Danielle nodded
thoughtfully and took another drag of her cigarette.

"Well, there's always been death in the world. My job is never in danger. There
will always be murderers and robbers and Mary Hart." She shrugged. "Now
good people..." she trailed off. Angela nodded.

"I received a memo the other day saying my job will be phased out by 2237,"
she said and sighed. Danielle's eyes grew wide.

"Really?" she said. Angela nodded. Danielle shook her head.

"That’s too bad," she said. "What will you do?" Angela shrugged.

"Move to another department, I guess. The virtues department possibly," she
said.

"Well that would be a step up, wouldn't it?" Danielle asked.

"Quite a few really," she said and sighed. "I would miss this though," she said
gesturing around the waiting room. Danielle laughed.

"Well I wouldn't. This is getting really old. I put in for a promotion a while ago
but it hasn't gone through yet. God this is boring," she said and through her
head back. She giggled. "Well at least it gives me a chance to see people. You,
for instance." Angela rocked quietly for a moment.

"So how are you?" she asked. Danielle shrugged.

"No too bad, you know, just working and having fun," she said and giggled
again. Angela rolled her eyes slightly.

"Well how is Grim?" she asked. Danielle frowned.

"Oh that's been over for months. The only time we ever saw each other was at
work and that's about as lame as you can get. Plus he was always carrying that
damn scythe around. Do you know how hard it is to get into the movies with a
guy who's carrying a scythe? Total workaholic," she said and threw up her
hands. "Any who how's Michael?" Angela smiled.

"Wonderful as always, He asked me to marry him," she said.

"Oh wow, congrats. How did you get that by your boss?" Danielle asked.
Angela smiled brighter.

"Love always makes my boss happy. You know the only rules about marriage
concern humans," she said. Danielle waved her hand about.

"Yea I remember what happened," she said.

"Well I would hope so. It was my boss who had to clean up the mess your
people caused," Angela said sternly.

"Oh come off it. Giants aren't that big of a deal. And besides, they were still
your people when it happened," Danielle said standing up.

"Well they became your people when you all left," Angela said. Danielle rolled
her eyes.

"Well, if this is going to be another debate about the whole war against
heaven thing..." she said. Angela held up her hand.

"No it isn't. I don't want to make this a debate. It's been years since we saw
each other and we shouldn't fight. Besides, at our core, we're still the same
people. We just took different directions," she said. Danielle looked at her for a
moment then sighed and sat back down.

"I guess so. I've just been really touchy lately. A friend of mine got exorcised
the other day and he won't shut up about it. Every minute it's, priests this and
priests that. God!" Danielle said. Angela laughed quietly.

"I think He was the point," she said. Danielle looked at her for a moment
before laughing.

"Yea right," she said shaking her head. The waiting room was quiet for a
moment before Angela spoke.

"I'd like you to come if you can," she said. Danielle thought a moment.

"Am I allowed to?" she asked. It was Angel's turn to think.

"I don't think it would be a problem. I bet I could get you a day pass. You know
He is forgiving and I don't see why he wouldn't let one of His children come to
something as special as a wedding just because she happens to be a fallen
one," she said thoughtfully.

"Fallen ones? Is that what you guys call us?" Danielle asked frowning. Angela
nodded.

"It's a name that gives us hope that maybe someday we can retrieve you and
bring you all home," Angela said. Danielle continued to frown.

"I don’t like being called that. It sounds like I did something wrong. Which I
didn't. And Heaven isn't my home anymore," she said, her voice agitated.

"Well you certainly can't enjoy living in Hell," Angela said.

"Better to live in Hell then serve in Heaven as the saying goes," Danielle said
leaning back.

"That maybe so, but you loved being a seraphim. You were especially noted
for your talent with the trumpet," said Angela. Danielle sighed.

"Yea, yea. Big fat whoop. Waste of my damn time is what it was. Why the hell
would I want to live in a place like that? Always bowing and scraping," Danielle
said.

"Children are supposed to listen to their parents," Angela said. Danielle
looked up.

"Children are supposed to grow up too," she said glaring at Angela. "And
besides, I like my freedom. And what the holy hell am I suppose to like about a
job that turns me into a messenger girl and not even get any recognition for it.
You know I was with Gabriel the day he told Mary she was pregnant. You see my
name in the bible? Screw that. Humans are stupid animals and I'm supposed to
bow to them just because God tells us to!? No way! They aren’t even the
smartest animals on the planet for craps sake. I really left because I didn’t want
to be a zoo keeper," Danielle said angrily. Angela shook her head.

"I never knew that was the reason you joined the other side," she said.
"Well it is," Danielle said frowning. There was silence for a few minutes as
each contemplated their own thoughts.

"You know He misses you," Angela said thoughtfully. Danielle looked up.

"What did He say about me?" she asked suspiciously.

"Just that He misses you. And that anytime you wanted to come back, you
could," she said. Danielle was silent for a moment.

 "Really?" she asked. Angela smiled.

"I bet you could even get your old job back. I mean, he never filled it after you
left. You can’t replace seraphim, you know. They are the highest choir of
archangels. Tell you what, I'll get you a day pass for the wedding and maybe you
can have a talk with him. I can tell you miss Him." Angela said her voice gentler.
Danielle looked down.

"I don’t think I could go back even if He did allow it. It's not just a physical
change you know, but a mental one too. I don’t think I’m even capable of being
an angel again," Danielle said regretfully. Angela stood and walked over to
Danielle’s chair and took her hand.

"Once an angel always an angel," she said softly. "I never thought you had it in
you to be a demon, anyways. You’re too good. And you're far too good at the
trumpet," she said and laughed lightly. "And forget about the bible thing. You
see my name in there? Don’t let it get you down. Humans just aren’t that bright,
bless them. But they are wonderful creatures in their own way." Danielle
laughed shrilly.

"I guess," she said. Angela patted her hand.

"Oh, my little girl just passed away but I'll contact you about that pass, okay?"
Angela said. Danielle nodded.

"See yea, Angie," she said. Angela left through the door and disappeared down
the hall. Danielle checked her watch and stood. She left through the same door
and walked towards the emergency room. As she entered a room she saw a
solitary figure watching intently as a team of doctors performed CPR on a body.
After a few minutes a doctor checked a wall clock and pronounced the time of
death at 1:17 am. The watching figure looked over at Danielle and a look of
knowing horror crossed his face. Danielle grinned and pointed at him.

"Angela may think you are wonderful creatures, but you my friend, are about to
be one hot monkey," she said for dramatic effect and laughed at the figure who
was now screaming silently. As Danielle strode towards the cowering figure she
thought about Angela who, like all angels, assumed Hell was a burning lake of
fire. As the figure tried to scream in terror, the demon knew just how wrong she
was. Hell was a lot worse then that. Hell was cold and completely silent.
Two Seconds
By Stevie Jay

Give me two seconds to live
my life,

Give me two seconds to chase
my dreams,

Give me two seconds to fall in
love,

Give me two seconds to be a
child,

Give me two seconds to grow
up,

Give me two seconds to do
what you asked,

Give me two seconds to rest,

Give me two seconds to die.
Feel the Fear by Jules

...and feel the fear creeping beside me, inside of me
my courage pouring out through beads of sweat
all that is left has seeped into my soiled nightgown
tattered and tearstained, FUCK the brave heart
let the courage evaporate into the nothingness that
built such a weak foundation for my hearts pedestal
prepare my soul for the mason who will come to rebuild it
though he may never come, though I may never come, again
all of the world appears only with sunlight from down here
no reflections from the lunar glow
nothing to enjoy in the night,
such limitations bind my breath
suffocating my ability to become the light.
my heart is screaming without words
come to me, be with me, in me
bless the breeze that carries my cry,
across the blackness
hear me, find me, breathe me in like your first breath
a new birth of lust to begin
of love to explore
let the wind carry these words
Deep Red Beauty
By Jules

And whispering winds
carry sallow voices
across vacant seas of sour choices
In harmonic tones
their cries remain distant
following closely in vague contentment
Bold stares though smoky venues
bring passions silk to lonely refuge
Pouring out with natures unity
the heart felt groans of deep red beauty

LIVEMANSION, what is it you may ask? It’s a movie, it’s a contest? It’s both. If you haven’t heard of LIVEMANSION
then some of you are missing out on a great opportunity. LIVEMANSION is going to be the first feature put
together by you, the members.

Log on to
http://www.livemansion.com and check out the competition. Registration is absolutely free.

This is what some of the people that are currently being considered for the roles of Derek, Envin, Jack, Clyde,
Rebecca, Meegan, Janelle, and Sabrina have to say about the contest.

Meet Ninakat, she’s running for the role of Sabrina. She resides in Southern California. Nina why don’t you tell us
a little bit about your acting history?

Well I modeled a bit as a young child, and as a teen I was in a couple of cable commercials. However, it wasn't
until college that I began to pursue acting seriously. I auditioned for a student film, got the lead role, and
realized that I wanted to make movies for the rest of my life! Since then, I have worked on over a dozen
independent films.

How did you hear about this project and why did you decide to participate?

I found out about LiveMansion through their internet advertising. It seemed like a great website to meet
industry contacts, and hopefully land a role.

Now you are also being featured on one of the director’s videos submitted for the competition. How did that
come about?

I met Mitch Gettleman (known on the site as PeepholePictures) on LiveMansion, and we seemed to both admire
each other's work. When it came time to make audition videos for round 3, we decided that we could both help
each other out by collaborating. I am very happy with the results.

Also running for the role of Sabrina is Sylviannec but unlike Nina Kat, she’s also running for Janelle. Why don’t
you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Just to clarify: my name is Sylvianne and not Sylviannec which is my screen name. The last letter stands for my
last name. lol. I am half German and half French and came to New York 8 years ago to pursue my Dream. I studied
Musical Theater, but quickly started working in all aspects of the business including Film.

Is there a reason why you choose to run for these two roles?

I thought that Sabrina and Janelle were the most challenging and therefore the most fun roles to play.

Do you feel connected to either one of these roles or any of the four for that matter?

You can probably find a little of yourself in every role, but since Sabrina and Janelle are such 'extreme'
characters, the whole fun lays into finding the true motivation behind these twisted souls.

And just like Nina Kat you also ended up in one of those director’s submissions. I take it you’re goof friends with
Mightmouse4?

I met Dan (Mightymouse4) on Livemansion, just e-mailing back and forth. We end up meeting up one day and
when we both got to round 3, we decided to work together and help each other out. Well, he definitely helped
me more than I helped him! :-)

However I happen to think Hannah is giving her a run for her money. She’s also running for Janelle but again
just like Sylviannec choose to audition for another role. So tell us the basics, how did you get into this and why?

I heard about the contest from another actor friend of mine who was doing internet promoting for live mansion.
She posted it on myspace and I saw the bulletin. It was during the initial phase of the first round so I joined up.

As for how I got into acting; I grew up in an artistic family and have been performing in plays my entire life. I got
into film during my teens. It was like any great obsession, like snow-bunnies don’t want to do anything but ski,
surfer-chicks don’t want to do anything but surf, I don’t want to do anything but act. As addictions go, I think it’s a
healthy one.

How does Janelle differ from Meegan?

For the audition/contest we were each given 2 scripts for each character. You could choose to-do a dialoged or
a monologue and then post each on the website. Along with the “audition sides” aka scripts we were each given
a character breakdown, which is just an overview of each characters outstanding features/individual traits. So to
make a long story short, I don’t know all the detail about Mee-gan and Janelle. I have not read the script so I just
interpreted the breakdown and sides and “made them my own” so to speak. The detail given basically outlined
the similar characteristics that both women are a force to be reckoned with. Like Janelle’s character Mee-gan is
diabolical and beautiful and a member of the elite. In my interpretation of the audition sides however I felt that
while Janelle was once a kind, warn-hearted individual who has now been jaded by her past, Mee-gan has
always been naturally devious and self-serving. While Janelle’s broken heart and ego have a score to settle with
mankind and life itself, Mee-gan is delightfully guilt free and emerges from each unpleasant encounter
unscathed and hungry for more. Both are manipulative, smart and attractive but where Janelle is sexy, Mee-gan
is witty and where Janelle is weak Mee-gan is emotionally shielded.

In my interpretation, I gave Mee-gan an irritating perky high-metabolic persona. For Janelle I attempted to give
her a cool, slow, thoughtful, meltdown approach. Hope it worked.

Do you feel more connected to Meegan or Janelle?

I know more Mee-gan’s that Janelle’s. Mee-gan reminds me of a few women I know from high school, usually
small feisty chipmunk-girls with something to prove and no reason for it. They are brassy, ballsy, competitive,
cute, irritating, and full of lives naturally over charged energy. I am a lot like Mee-gan in one or two ways. I feel
connected to Mee-gan’s character because I have a hefty helping of lust for life but that is where our similarities
end and the acting sets in.

I am probably more like the Janelle character than Mee-gan, although I do not have any uncanny similarities. I
find it easy to be sympathetic to her character. I understand being jaded by an ex-lover. I am a sensitive
individual like Janelle once was but, that is pretty much where our similarities conclude

Now let’s check out the guy’s competition.

Psycho666, born Ed is running for both the roles of Envin and Clyde. Tell me something about you that you would
want your fans to know somewhere down the line.

If I were fortunate enough to have any fans down the road, I would like them to know that I exhibit a lot of
passion with regards to everything that I do. As I've ascended through maturity, I've deduced that fate will
dictate that you fail at a lot of things that you attempt to do and that one has to persist until something positive
happens. It's a natural impulse to want to surrender when one fails time after time after time, especially when
they want to succeed so badly, but, regardless of how many times one gets discouraged, remember, one yes
makes 1,000 no's worthwhile

If it came down to it, which role would you choose between Envin and Clyde?

Clyde, because I, in a certain manner of speaking, admire and, at times, can relate to, his "Fuck the World, I'm the
only thing that matters" attitude, an attitude that the majority, beit subconsciously and momentarily, exhibit on
occasion. However, I can relate to Envin, as well. Not with regards to my having lost my entire family, but with
regards to the manner in which he's withdrawn and, as well, the manner in which that withdrawing intersperses
with anger and discouragement. But, if I were given a choice, I would say "Clyde"

What do you think about your competition?

First and foremost, I don't perceive them as being "competition" persay.
Competition could be perceived as a term which insinuates hostility towards one another and, if that rationale is
true, then "friendly competition" is an oxymoron.
We are, merely and simply, individuals with a common goal and we are, subsequently, exhibiting our
perseverance, ambition and determination in the hopes that our goals will, one day, be realized All of these
people are very intelligent, goal oriented, talented individuals with whom I hope to remain acquainted beyond
our meeting here.

What about Brian M. Wixson, who’s also running for the role of Envin?

I initially voted for him and he, in turn, vowed to vote for me once my video's had been uploaded, which he did
He appears to be a nice Gentleman, with the same goals and ambitions that everyone on this site has.

He's only one amongst the myriad of nice Men and Women I have met on here and, as I do with regards to
everyone on here, I wish him the best with regards to all of his future endeavors.

Now let’s hear what he has to say about your performance?

Psycho(Ed) took a much different approach to his videos. I was surprised that he seemed to live up to his
screen name. While some went with loner or a bit crazy for Envin, his entry seemed to show him completely over
the edge in a homicidal way. He made me feel like if I didn't vote for him, he would reach out and choke me or
something.

So Mr. Brian Wixson, how do you feel about the way things are being run in this particular contest?

While it is fun, it does have its flaws. Trying to win a role in a movie has never been a "popularity contest"
before. Talent in acting is needed equally or less than the talent for friend making and getting people to the site
to vote (only for you of course). It is a lot like politics in that sense. And politics is a lot like acting in its own
right. That's why I often referred to this as "Running for Class President".

Sounds political but yeah I see what you mean, okay you been doing this acting thing how long now?

About 5 years now. A lot of Background work and parts in Indies. I am hoping this year is my breakout year.
Maybe this movie will do it for me, votes permitting of course.

You’re also up for the roles of Derek and Clyde. That’s three characters all together, any particular reason why?

The breakdowns listed for all of those characters were ones that I either fit easily or with a little work. Why limit
my chances to just one role if I fit 3. I am not All American grade specimen, so I didn't try for the Jack role. In any
real movie, if you fit more than one character, you try for them and let the casting director decide if you fit any of
them or not. Besides, the three characters are so diverse that it was fun to change between them.

Obviously you can only play one character, which one would be your choice?

While Derek would be a better choice because I am in the retail world and have to "promote and sell" every day,
I would LOVE to be Envin, because he is more enigmatic from what we were given to work with. Look at the
audition pieces submitted. He is portrayed as a loner, a crazy person, cold hearted or emotions running all over.
That is always fun to do...uncover the character as you present it.

As you can see some of these individuals don’t mind making up to three video submissions but what Steve J did
for his Envin’s video was really impressive. How did you prepare yourself for it?

Masturbation and crying. I mean mental masturbation, but real crying. It's a technique I picked up while touring
shows. You don't get a lot of time by yourself, so... Then when I turned on the camera I just did everything
opposite of what I wanted to do.

Who do you think has the best shot of playing Envin, please don’t say yourself it just makes you sound cocky,
actually go ahead and say it but is he really the character you want to play because you’re also up for the roles of
Jack and Clyde?

Actually you're almost right. I would say I have the best shot of playing Envin, Jack, Clyde, Derek, Rebecca,
Meeeee-gan, Sabrina, and Janelle. I actually have submitted for all the female roles - can you guess who I am?
However, if I get the role of Rebecca, I insist in being draped in panty hose before every shot. But, seriously I
have my favorites that don't actually include myself. They know who they are...its all love (not gay - not that
there's anything wrong with that). I would be honored to play any role in (insert production name here), I would
put my whole (insert emotion evoking noun), into the project. I would like to thank

Any of them you feel most connected to most?

I dressed my hands up like all the characters and spent some intimate time together. So I feel like I know all the
characters inside and out. Wow, the threesome me and Mee-gan and Janelle had together - my colon still has
bruises. But, out of all my encounters, I think I liked jacking with Jack most. I'm sorry, can I say "most"? Or should
I say "moist"?

You seem to have this “I don’t care” attitude about the question portion of the contest. It’s obvious that it hasn’t
hurt you so far, you think it will matter in the future?

I'm not sure what you mean about hurting me? Do you mean physically? I hope it won't, but I will watch carefully.
As I mentioned, I bruise easily. Could I get a burger and fries? It's not really a "don't care" attitude, it's more of a
laissez-faire idea; I don't communicate very well, so I think it's better for everyone if I just keep my answers short
and honest. For example, "someone I would like to meet one day" - I think "God" is a perfectly good answer.
Although she and I have had some conversations and really I don't think it's going to happen. Are you wearing a
zipper tie?

Do you think people give celebrities a hard time for some of the ways they act in interviews and public
appearances?

No. I think we should give them a harder time. Why should their lives be so great? Next time you see a celebrity,
just yell "boo". Why should they monopolize all the happiness? Boo, Mother Teresa, boo! Well she's dead, but
you see what I'm getting at.

Anything you would like to say to your competition, to the world?

No matter where you go, there you are. Whatever you're doing work hard at it, but have fun because you never
know when the Grinch is going to steal Christmas. And, finally I like wearing women's underpants, so help stop
GLOBAL WARMING!!!

What about the rest of you? (To the other 5 members also participating in this interview)

I have great respect and admiration for the work of everyone who has made it this far in the competition. I
sincerely hope to work with each of them in the future. From Nina Kat

To my competition, I say you aren't. Not saying I am the best(cause I am not THAT egotistical), just saying that
besides the fact that some of us are up for different roles so we are not competing head to head, you have all
became good friends in here and I hope whoever wins will remember the rest that got them there. To the world,
I say...LOOK OUT!!! HERE WE COME!!! From Brian M. Wixson

To those of you who haven’t posted your auditions yet, I challenge you to raise the bar a little. Put creativity into
your video. Stand out! This is what we DO! Make it a performance to be proud of! From Hannah

Thank you to all those who have voted for me, I appreciate your support! I promise I'll make you proud when I get
to the big screen :-)MERCI! From Sylvianne

In one word how would all of you describe your LIVEMANSION experience so far?

NERVEWRACKING!!! From Brian M. Wixson

Word from Steve J

Extraordinary from Nina Kat

“Festive” from Hannah

Fantastique! From Sylvianne

If I were to sum up my experience in one word, that/those word(s) would be "interesting" or "fruitful”, perhaps
even "educational" From ED (Psycho666)
